Elko and Spring Creek High Schools present the musical Willy Wonka.  It will be at the Elko Convention Center on April 13th & 14th at 7pm and April 15th at 2pm.  Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $7 for students.  Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka is a scrumdidilyumptious musical guaranteed to delight everyone’s sweet tooth.

Students, you need 30 hours of drivers education to get a Nevada driver’s license if you are under the age of 18.  Great Basin College online driver’s ed begins April 11.  For enrollment information, go to www.gbcnv.edu/drivers-ed or call 753-2102.  The cost is $50 plus at $10 application fee.  This is the last GBC class before summer session which begins in June.

Attention Seniors, next week on April 12th during advisory, the yearbook staff is going to take a senior group picture outside in the quad area.  Please make sure you are here and picture ready that day.

Attention soccer players, anyone interested in reffing AYSO games this season please see Mr. McAnany.

The Twirp “Rave” dance will be Friday, April 21st from 8-11pm.  This is a girl ask guy, casual attire dance.  Tickets will be sold during lunches on Monday, April 10th-24th.  Couples are $10 and singles are $7.  Ticket prices go up at the door.

There will be a meeting in M40 for all boys interested in playing soccer next season on Wednesday, April 12th right after school.

Seniors, there are multiple scholarships due this week.  Stop by the counseling office if you have any questions.

This weekend was the speech and debate national qualifying tournament.  Our kids did great.  In Northern Nevada approximately 20 schools participate in speech and debate.  At this tournament we vie for 36 nationals spots.  Spring Creek kids secured 6 of those spots.  Stormy Lewis – 1st place Original Oratory; Mabel Walters & Tobin Reagan – 1st place Duo Interpretation; Dionne Stanfill – 1st place Informational Speaking; Brookelynn Carlson – 1st place Congressional Debate & 1stplace Oral Interpretation; Ruben Candelaria – 3rd place Lincoln Douglas Debate.
